I'm Shea. I’m an emerging multidisciplinary artist working across clay, wood, paint, pencil, textile and more. My practice is driven by relentless curiosity and the sheer joy of making, absorbing new knowledge, exploring new materials, and experimenting with unfamiliar techniques. If there's a process I haven't tried yet, I probably want to. Every piece I create is shaped by what I’ve recently learned, whether it’s a new skill, a scientific concept, a bit of obscure history, or an unexpected material property. I’m especially inspired by evolution as a creative force, not a designer, but a tinkerer working through variation, constraint, and adaptation. My work mirrors that process, driven by discovery, responsive to context, and always open to surprise. I’m drawn to the challenge of translating complex ideas into forms that can be touched, used, or interacted with. While my personal work is often experimental, I also enjoy commissions in more traditional or commercial styles. These collaborations allow me to learn from others, take on new challenges, and bring care and creativity to meaningful projects. Art is how I think through my hands. It’s how I process the complexity of the world, embrace its contingencies, and celebrate its wonders.
